Aimed at 13 to 14 age groups
Topics and activities elaborated by students under teachers' guidance
Most activities based in an imaginary Euro City
Some activities need students from various European countries to interact with each other

    Bases for EURO CITY:
    1 Drawings should be in A4 size and in colour.
    2 The Euro City can be located in any European country, so there should be no local references.
    3 The Euro City should have buildings to represent the following:
  • a. Government Institutions: Town Hall or some similar building. The European flag should be visible.
  • b. Education: School, library, university, ..
  • c. Commerce and industry: Bank, office block, shopping center, market, ..
  • d. Transport: Streets, cars, buses, bikes, people walking, train station, bus-stops, ..
  • e. Health & Care: Hospital, pharmacy, chemist's, home for the aged, ..
  • f. Sports & hobbies: Sport centers, football ground, parks, beaches, ..
  • g. Leisure & Free time: Bars, pubs, discos, restaurants, museum, art gallery, ..
  • h. Living quarters: Block of flats, cottages, small shops, place to worship, ..
  • i. Security: Courts of law, police station, fire brigade, Red Cross, ..
  • j. Communication: TV studio, radio station, newspaper agent's, kiosk, ..

  • Note: Remember you can't have too many buildings in an A4, so choose only 1 to 3 buildings to represent each topic.
    4 The last day to present your work: 22 May 2007. You have to post your original drawings to Urola Ikastola - Perdilegi, 3 - 20730 Azpeitia. You have to send a scanned image of your drawing to vp@euroschoolnet.com.
    5 The organizers of this competition retain all rights to use the prize-winning drawings as they deem.
    6 The following prizes will be handed to the winners:
  • a. First prize awarded by TiendaAzul.com: Technika TDVD-2006X (Click to see prize)
  • a. Second prize awarded by ElectronicaDeHogar.com: Grundig Davio 14 (Click to see prize)
  • b. Runners up (2 to 3 depending on the quality of the drawings): Various prizes awarded by Urola Ikastola

  • 7 To take part in this competition you have to be a student in any school in the European Community. Some prizes may not be awarded if the board of judges decides that the work submitted is not up to the standard or there has been a misuse of copyrights.
