   France is poblated by three main ethnic groups: Celtic, Latin and Teutonic or Frankish. France had the major population of Europe from 1945 until the end of 1960s. The French people comprise all French citizens, including the French overseas departments and territories. In the twentieth century France had high rate of immigration, mainly from Southern Europe, the Meagher, Africa and Asia.

Cathedral of Amiens	France's capital city, Paris, which is located in the north central part of the country city. France’s largest city is Paris. Amiens is a city and commune in the north of France, 120 km north of Paris. It is considered the Picarde capital of France. Bordeaux  is a port city in the southwest of France.
The Eiffel Tower is the most known monument in France, but at the beginning it was a not very well accepted construction.

Mount Perdú	                         Omaha beach
   The landscape of France is varied. of Wetlands of International Importance. Forests and woodland areas cover over a quarter of the country. France also has over twenty sites on the Ramsar List
   Mount Perdu, in the Pyrenees, is a joint French and Spanish World Heritage site. The designated site consists of scenic landscape with meadows, lakes, caves and forests on mountain slopes.                                                                                                                                                                                                 The Pyrenees are found along the border between France and Spain, and the Midi-Pyrenees region covers the middle section of the area.                                                               The Omaha beach was located on the northern coast of France, facing the English Channel, and was 5 miles (8 km) long.

  Wildlife in France - because of the large size of France, and the large percentage of the country that is still rural and / or forested, there are many intact natural habitats.             
“La Federation des Parcs Naturels Regionaux de France” oversees France's nature reserves which are home to many endangered plants and birds. Animals include small creatures such as foxes and deer; the chamois lives in alpine areas and some wild boar can still be found in the more remote forested areas. You can find mammals, aquatic animals, reptiles, insects…
